Delphi games source code available on github
I released the little delphi games, downloadable in binary form from this website, created when i was a kid on github. The code is for educational purposes, uses default delphi controls and can be compiled using latest delphi tokyo starter edition. The code is not that good which can be expected when a kid writes code and tries to learn delphi. You can get the code on github

Willems Soft Games Source codes released.
Since i'm not working anymore, on porting my games to other systems i decided i'll release all my source code i ever created myselve so that other people, if they are intrested can port the sources to other systems. You can find the sources for all finished games, but also unfinished games (like the race game on the gp2x/caanoo, the shooter game for dingoo) and even a fully functional, never released game for the nokia N810. All sources use SDL, SDL_Mixer, SDL_GFX, SDL_TTF so they should be fairly easy to port to another (linux based) system. The source code is provided as is, i will not provide any help on how to compile these sources. The sources and the directory structure are also fairly messy, it's basically a zipped up file of my sources directory that i never cleaned up.
Also you can create ports for these but I never want to see money asked for anything based on these source codes. More information can also be found in the readme file in the sources zip.
you can find these source in the new Sources section of the website

My first game, znax, for the Nokia N810 is availible now. For those that know here is some info about the game. Znax is a remake of a game by Nick Kouvaris. It is a sort of puzzle / arcade game where you as the player need to select 4 blocks of the same color and form rectangles as big as you can. By doing this you will erase all blocks in this square and they will be replaced by new blocks. You keep on doing this till the time runs out, and try to gain your highest score possible. There are two game modes, Relative timer and fixed Timer, in the first mode you'll also gain extra time for deleting blocks so you can play longer if you are fast enough. With the second mode you don't get extra time for deleting blocks but just points added to your score so here you try to get the highest amount of points in the given time period. The game Has support for up to 25 additional mod music files and skin support!

MSI TV@Anywhere (Master) Remote Program 1.0 Released
I had this tv tuner card for a long time, it came with a remote control but i could never use it with my favorite tv tuner program chris-tv. Anyway i stumbled upon a girder 3.x msi remote plugin. Based on that source code i created a whole new application to reprogram the buttons of the msi remote control. You can add things like "start a certain program", "quit a certain program" or "sending certain keys to an application". You can also import and export the ir commands so you can back them up for use as profiles for all kinds of applications. The (delphi) source code is included. The program is far from perfect and lacks some things like mouse movement, sending virtual keys, WM_Messages to a window, but then again i only created it for my own use with christv. You can get the program and source code here.

Tower Toppler 1.1.13 GP2X Port Initial Release
Well it took me some work but i finally have an initial release of Tower Toppler 1.1.13 for the gp2x. In this game you have to help a cute little green animal switch off some kind of "evil" mechanism. The "power off switch" is hidden somewhere in high towers. On your way to the target you need to avoid a lot of strange robots that guard the tower. That sounds all like a normal jump and run game. What makes this game different is that you walk arond the tower which is revolving on the screen, so that you only see the 180° that are currently visible.
It's a very nice game to play on the gp2x, Go check it out. More info about the orginal tower toppler game can be found here

I made this game into a single player game for the gp2x by doing some small modifactions and adding gp2x input handling. You play with one of the bunny's and the aim of the game is to "bump" the other bunnies, you do this by jumping on their head. You need to get 50 bumps as fast as possible, before the cpu players do. You can play customn levels and even make your own.

For the reason that i had to choose a not so complicated project and that i didn't had to change anything graphic wise since SDL on the gp2x scales it all down and the orginal game's resolution was not so big. You can get the game and more information here. The source code is included since it uses the GNU GPL. license.

Here's the new version ...
Hehe you won't notice it much but the sites main php files have changed a lot. I made the site html 4.01 strict, and it validates on all pages except the xplorer codes one, that's one huge page (1mb in size) that was generated long time ago using a program called xcheated. And i'm really not in the mood to fix all the stuff that program did wrong html wise. I still have to edit the data in the database though since some entries contain html code that isn't 4.01 strict. It wasn't as easy as i thought it would be to recreate this site using div's, i used almost all absolute positions and since that doesn't really work in internet explorer i had to figure something out to let the page look like it used to. Anyway i figured out a way eventually and only had to use one small fix, a div to hide some of the body's background image. The site now works in internet explorer 6 & 7, firefox 2, opera, netscape and perhaps some more browsers since those are the only ones i tried it in. Internet explorer 6 does have a problem when you are goana resize the window to a very small size, u'll see the labels on top here will wrap beneath each other, because the min-width setting doesn't work there and i didn't want to use a hack. In these times you won't actually notice it since the site needs a minimum screen resolution of around 1024x768 and that's something almost every users has. Hope you all like it cause i sure do.

A new version of this site ?
By creating the willems soft ads network site, i've learned a whole lot more about php and webdesign in general. So i'm thinking about recreating this site once more. The overal design would stay the same but the way i "programmed" the php files and database connections should change, as well as the usuage of css and tables. For instance i'd like to get rid of the table design that i have now and replace it with div's and css. It's so much easier to maintain then all the crap i've put together in this version of the site. But then again this site is getting pretty old now it's over 6 years old!
I might redo some graphics as well but i'm not sure about that i'm not really into graphics since it takes so much time.

According to the poll, it seems that most of the people who visit this site are still comeing to get the zinc trainer ! I'm surprised because the emulator and the program is getting pretty old. Anyway i promise you guys that when and if a new zinc emulator comes out i'll create a new trainer for it, given that it hasn't got some kind of built in cheat support. The rest of the people come for gp2x and windows games so i might have to focus more on that as well but it takes time and with people not donating at all i'm really not motivated to spend my time on it. I'll think about it but no promises.

It seems my newsscript got broken or it wasn't compatible anymore with the servers config (which i don't control) anyway i was able to extract all data from the newspro script and add it to my database in along with a brand new self made news script. I even managed to get all my news back from the beginning when i started my website, something i couldn't do with the newspro script itself!
Anyway i've been real busy with the creation of a new website which webmasters will love. It's a free keyword link exchange program. If you are intrested check out http://ads.willemssoft.be".
on the programming side (besides from that website) i hadn't much time nor intrest to create anything, but i still have a finished game, well except for the missing music, sitting on my harddisk for the gp2x. If i find some time i might make a release for it.

Blips was already finished for quite some time but i had to wait for the music and i had to test it some more. I hope all bugs are gone if you do find any please let me know in the forums. Anway blips is a puzzle game like sokoban except that you need to collect all blue stars to finish a level. There's also dynamite in the levels that can blow up when being touched, if a box touches the dynamite the box is blown up as well! Sounds easy but i can tell you it's quite hard in the later levels! Since it uses my sokoban engine you can create new levelpacks on the gp2x itself. The game has skin support and you can play up to 25 customn mod or ogg music files, just place them in the music directory!
The orginal game was named bips and was created by bryant brownell.

You can do this depending on the game mode in 3 ways : by sliding rows and columns, rotating invidual pipes or by doing both at the same time. I finished my universal automatic screenshots convertor today, it's a program based on the ut2004 screenshots convertor but this time it will work with all games! This program is aimed towards gamers, It is an automatic (or manual) screenshots convertor. It is automatic because it can convert screenshots without the touch of a button after the game ends. It has options to resize the screenshots, sort them in special directories by date time and profile name using a dir/file mask. It can convert from and to PNG,JPG,TGA,BMP basicly the most commonly used screenshot formats. You can add game profiles for all your games the settings will be saved for later usuage. The program can be run in the background or as a normal working program.

Checkers gp2x released.
Checkers gp2x was finished a couple of days ago but i couldn't find the time to update my website and release it. You probably all know checkers or draughts as it sometimes called. It's a bord game where u have to try to capture all the pieces of the opponent by jumping over them in a diagonal direction. This is my version of checkers that uses the official rules with a cpu player. It's the first time i tried to create a computer ai but i believe i succeeded pretty well since i find him quite hard to win from. I've included 4 difficulty options and an option to enable or disable the jump heuristic. The last option let the cpu player behave a little bit diffrent so u basicly have 8 cpu players to play against.
I hope you all like it :)

All my Gp2x Games now have Tv out Options
Well i've gotten myself a tv out cable for the gp2x and i noticed when hooking it up to my computer or television that part of the image of the screen was just missing. Some message posts on the forums and asking on irc later i found out that it was due to overscan issue's with a television (thanks DjWillis & Woogal) and was also given a way to solve it. I took it a step further and let the users now have the option to move the game screen around on the television to center it. You can do this with all my gp2x games and upcomming games by holding the R button and pressing a direction with the joystick while being at the game's main menu.
you can see this feature at the beginning of my new Checkers Wip Video which you can see on youtube here!

Updated all Gp2x games
I've updated all my currently released gp2x games so that they don't explicitly restart the gp2xmenu anymore. It's now done using a script for the normal menu and people using gmenu2x or another menu replacement can just point to the executable and let the customn menu relaunch (instead of the default menu like it used to be). I also included an icon for each game. Read the readme's to know more about usuage with gmenu2x.

Rubido For Gp2x Released
Well i finished Rubido for the gp2x rather quickly, took me only about 5 days (started on sunday).
Rubido is a chinese checkers clone, it's also known as Solitaire in certain countries. You have a board filled with pegs where you jump over another peg to an empty place and by this you remove the peg you jumped over. Depending on the difficulty diagonal movement is allowed or not and you either have to end in the middle or not.

New php site is here !
Well it took me about 4 days of non stop coding to get it up and running but it was worth it! I can now easily add programs and program details, buttons, tabs, links. The only thing that's left to do is clean up the data in some locations and add fill in some of the other sections like programming and saved games for the playstation. Oh yeah the comments had to go, you can post comments about the php version of the site in the forums, or let me know using the contact page or guestbook ! There are also some new features, you can now have 3 diffrent views to see certain sections, one is where you see only screenshots (wallpapers for example), the other is a download table where u see some information about the program and a download link and the other is product details table where u see some small info at first and are presented with a link the complete details along with a download link, on this page u can also see the full sized screenshot by clicking on it. It's the only place. You can also change the amount of items per sections you want to view. Seems i also lost a huge part of my news section, sorry about that. So Check it all out and let me know what you think about it !

Creating a php version of the site
Well i finally got of my lazzy ass to start on a php version of the site. Most of the javascript will be gone except for the onmouseovers. Everything will be saved into a database, the menu will become modular, as well as most other parts of the site. It's not an easy task doh and it will take some time but eventually it'll be up and running. Oh yeah the dutch part of the site will be gone, i just can't keep it up running a "double" site. These days it's all english anyway so it's not a big loss i guess.

So i am sorry for the inconvience it should be fixed now as i deleted all the nedstat counters from my websites. I do need a substitute, if anyone knows a good free service with no popups or limitations or a php script that generates more or less the same results as nedstat please let me know about it in the comments, thanks !

Sokoban GP2X
Here's some GP2X news !
I'm working on a sokoban clone for the gp2x, it's still in very WIP stage. but the game rules are already done as is the main part of the level editor. I've also created an undo system for upto 1000 moves for the game. I still have lot's of work on it like adding menu system, error checking in the level editor and my main concern figure out a way how to let the user specify filenames not that easy without a keyboard hehe.
Oh yeah if someone is intrested in creating levels for it, drop a line in the comments or the forums, i'll see that i can provide a version of the editor once it's more or less finished so u can help me make this game, see it as your contribution to the scene.

Fomula 1 Game & Watch game for Pc & GP2X
A few months ago i entered a little coding competetion from retro remakes (http://www.remakes.org) and created a game & watch style game named Formula 1. You control an F1 car and you need to pass other F1 cars coming to you without crashing into them. It's got all the classic elements for a game & watch game so the game will become harder as the score increases. Just try to get a score over 3000 points, the fun part just starts then cause you'll be going near full speed then and it gets really difficult not to crash into the other cars since you need to time when to move.
anyway you can get the GP2X Version and the Windows PC version in the My Software / games Section or just download them below.

Be sure to grab the new version from the same section!
forgot to upload it sorry about that, it's now uploaded, also watch out with proxy servers, my isp's (pandora) one always sends the old version of the zip so be sure to check to readme to see if it says version 1.1 !
Update : seems like there's a diffrence between the TO retail version and the mod u can freely download, the convertor works for the downloadable version but doesn't seem to work for the retail version, so if someone with some knowledge that got the retail version can tell me what the classname is of the main ut window while running TO retail so i can make it compitable with that also. And no i won't buy a retail version just to make it compatible !

Also the surprize i was talking about is a block editor for the game, so real soon you can make and play with your self made tetris blocks ! Share them with your friends etc! Of course the highscore submitting will only work with the normal blocks !

Simpletris Future updates
From what i could see in certain names in the scorelists, some people would like an option to define the keys theirselves, so one of these days i'll start working on that + a nice new feature for simpletris that isn't coded fast but wich i'm sure u all will love, i'll keep it a secret at this time ! Btw you could have just asked it in the forums and or sended me an email with a request =) That's what it was made for =)

Simpletris 1.1 setup
I made a setup for simpletris 1.1 now, should have done it right away hehe. Anyway you shouldn't get any messages anymore about missing dll files with this installer! The installer uses the latest windows installer so you should upgrade your installer if you didn't already. The setup will let you know if you got an older version and won't continue untill you have upgraded your version. These upgrades are free, to know where u can get them, just look at help.txt included in the zip.

Still alive .....
Well as you can see it's been a while since i posted some news or did something on the site. For many reasons, certain things in my life happend wich u can't take for granted but that's history now!
First of all want to wish u all a nice new year, hope all your wishes may come true!
Secondly i created my first Trainer today!! Yeah yeah i hear you comming what's a trainer, ... Well trainers are little programs that alter memory locations of other programs more specificly games. What does this mean ? well you can get unlimited lives and stuff if u know where in memory it's saved. The trainer is for the game Mortal kombat 4 and has a couple of options like unlimited life, time, run etc.
Be sure to check it out in My software - Game hacks section and check back from time to time cause more trainers will follow after my exams are finished (yes u'll be hearing nothing from me again for some time!).
To end i also disabled the voting system cause i just don't know what you guys could vote at!! If you happen to know something the poll can be about be sure to let me know in the forums or by mail or something.

Puzzle Shuffle Released
It was anounced before and now it's finished! I'm talking about puzzle shuffle of course ;) For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a fun, but still hard, puzzle game where you choose any bmp image you like, wich will be shuffled and you have to get the original image back by moving pieces to the empty spot! One of the great things about the game is that you can change from image while playing !!!!

At the moment i'm working on a new game that i will call Puzzle Shuffle! The game is a puzzle game where you load a chosen picture (bitmap) and it wil be divided into 16 pieces. Aftwards the pieces will be shuffled and you have to get the original image by moving the empty piece around!

All software recompiled!
Today i recompiled all the software so that the emails and site match the current one. I also changed all emails on the site itself to be matched with the domain name. The only thing that needs to be fixed now is the newsletter script, i'll have to make it myself but that's no problem. The forums need to be brought alive also, so just go and post something (you don't have to be registered to post). Talk about yourself, ask something, put a suggestion, give your site or whatever just write something (usefull) in it :) You can now also write comments again on the newsscript and guestbook is also back online (hint) :=)
